		<description><![CDATA[There&#039;s another facet to the high cost of organics that is often overlooked. Organic markets such as Whole One way of buying organic cheaply is to find out if there are any local organic farmers markets.  You can get stuff a hell of a lot more cheaply from them than from Whole Foods, because you&#039;re not paying for fuel to transport produce accross the country.  Buying locally grown food supports the local economy and is much lighter on the environment as well.

I actually believe that buying organic food that is shipped across country is actually harsher on the environment than buying non-organic local, but I have not done the research to prove that.]]></description>
