Note: I apologize for those inconvenienced by the images; I don’t intend to do this very often, but I wanted to share these to give a better idea of why I do what I do…

I am a creature of conifers, ferns and thick, green moss

Where the red bones of trees stain the Earth like ochre

Where they stand like sentinels, and the ravens quork

Teasing the Sun with beaks and eyes

Where the river dragons leap down the mountainside

Laughing and splashing and leaving Life in their wake.

I love the photos! Just beautiful. I have an affinity, too, for mosses and ferns and am always drawn to them whenever I head into nature. And those tree trunks are enormous! Unfortunately, we have few trees that size anymore in the area where I live. Your words were a fitting accompaniment, also.
This is indeed what it’s all about, and I hope you’ll share more.
